By Paul Whelan Verified| Richmond Times-Dispatch Verified Chesterfield County police on Tuesday identified the driver of a fatal crash that happened late Sunday. Police said Lauren M. Rosales, 34, was driving a Hyundai SUV west in the 12800 block of Bailey Bridge Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, overturned and hit a building. Rosales was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Police said the crash happened at 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
By Paul Whelan Verified| Richmond Times-Dispatch Verified Police arrested a Richmond man and charged him with murder in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in the city's South Side nearly two years ago. A grand jury indicted Edward Jabbar, 20, who has been charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. The homicide happened at approximately 4:15 a.m. on June 5, 2023, in the 3800 block of Castlewood Road, which is one block west of Richmond Highway.
