Biography
Paul Wontorek has served as Editor-in-Chief of the leading theater website Broadway.com since its launch in 2000. In addition to guiding the voice of the site’s editorial content, he’s produced all of its video content, which has been streamed hundreds of millions of times by theater fans around the world. He hosted the long-running interview series "Show People" (Emmy Award nomination, Best Program Host/Moderator), "Broadway.com #LiveatFive" and "Front Row" among others, and can currently be seen on the nationally-syndicated weekly series "The Broadway Show with Tamsen Fadal." He’s received a total of 18 Emmy nominations as producer, director, writer and host and won two, as producer of "Broadway Profiles with Tamsen Fadal" in 2021 and as writer for the CBS Tony Awards special "At the Tonys" in 2018. Recent directing credits include "The Rosie O’Donnell Show" 2020 charity event, "Buyer and Cellar" starring Michael Urie and the star-studded "Take Me to the World: A Sondheim 90th Birthday Celebration," which was cited as a Critics Pick by "The New York Times," won the Drama League Award for Outstanding Digital Concert Production and was nominated for a Emmy Award for Community Service. Although he’s never had dreams of performing, Paul was seen playing himself in the musical "The Prom" by one very lucky Broadway audience in 2019.

By Paul Wontorek Verified| Broadway.com Verified Photographer Jenny Anderson is a well-respected part of the Broadway community—a colleague I trust and admire when I see her at industry parties, opening nights or holding down a prime spot on the Tony Awards red carpet. But back in 2007, I met a very different Anderson when she came in to interview for a Broadway.com internship.
