I am a story-driven Multimedia journalist adept at developing articles and investigating issues with determined and unwavering dedication. He is currently the Digital Communications Manager of MCI Radio, an online radio that is owned by the Media Challenge Initiative. The radio's main goal is to amplify African voices and as the radio's digital communications, Phillip endeavours that the content of the radio gets to be consumed by the target audience. His passion for health journalism pushed him into founding the African Health Grid, a media start-up organization that focuses on using in-depth storytelling as a tool to change the health journalism sphere. Phillip's educational background in Mass Communication, Digital Marketing and SRHR Peer Education has nurtured his viewpoint in how he perceives things around him. He is a Google certificated Digital Marketer with training from leading organizations like Reuters, Facebook, International Center for Journalists, Getty Images, Red Cross and many more. Phillip's work experience ranges from 2017 when he volunteered with organizations like Action Aid International (Uganda) and Reach a Hand Uganda in 2018, worked as a News contributor for NBS TV from 2018-2021 and wrote for online media agencies like the Nile Post and the African Press Club.
