And it's not just about our website - we use social media to drive traffic to it, and a complex web of apps, storage, communications, and other digital tools, supported by the Bylines Network, to run it and to grow our readership and writership.
By Rachel Morris, Helen Wales| Bylines Cymru@ Two years ago tomorrow, I sat in a cottage in Llangollen and sent the Bylines Network the go-ahead to make this website live. It instantly became the tenth and latest in the network's volunteer-run platforms for powerful citizen journalism. From the front window I could see the sharp bend off the A5 that leads you uphill towards Plas Newydd, and a house across from it where my (Great) Aunty Bee once lived. As a child, I knew I belonged in North Wales with every fibre of my being.

For the purposes of our February-long Austerity Project, we'll start from its formal 2010 introduction by Prime Minister David Cameron, his Chancellor George Osborne, and their coalition with Nick Clegg's Liberal Democrats. The outcomes of their programme continue to resound through lives and communities today, every day.
