Biography
Issah Rahama is a final year student at the University for Development Studies studying Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science. In 2019, she contested for SRC Vice president and SRC President in her institution in 2019 and 2020 respectively. She is the founder of Advocates for Community Development [ACDEV] and contributing to the achievement of sustainable Development Goals 1 and 4 that is, no poverty and quality education respectively. Since 2017, ACDEV has implemented projects in education, donations, trainings and capacity buildings and has reached more than 2,000 people. In August 2019, Rahama joined and won innovation competition with her ‘We Are Safe Training Center’ Idea at Innovate Ghana in Accra and was judged the overall winner for 2019. In January 2019, Rahama was accepted to host a youth program; The Active Youth at diamond fm in Tamale. Every weekend, she hosts a panel of four (4) to discuss the challenges of the youth of Tamale and organizes annual ACTIVE YOUTH FORUMS under the same program and have won educative program of the year and most outstanding students radio personality in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Rahama is also the Executive Director of a Youth Led Organization, Active Youth Global through which she champions the youth empowerment and equipping them for exploits towards creating sustainable future. Rahama is a Plan Alumni under the Girls Advocacy Alliance Project and a former fellow at Yielding Accomplished African Women.
