Randy Arrington is the publisher of PageValleyNews.com and PVN Sports. He has more than 30 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism — starting off in the 1990s as a broadcaster, DJ, sportscaster and news director at several radio stations; and more recently a 15-year stint as publisher of a group of weekly newspapers in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He has worked at various positions within radio and print in both Virginia and North Carolina, and currently provides content for his online community news site for Page County, Virginia and manages his broadcast business which provides audio commentary for high school sports events in Page County. He has won nearly 50 awards from the Virginia Press Association over the past 25 years for writing, photography, page design, and ad design, including leading his weeklies to a combined five state sweepstakes in their division, four Best in Show awards and the D. Lathan Mims Award for Editorial Service to the Community. With nearly 20 years as either a general manager or publisher, he also gained business, sales, marketing and personnel management skills as well.
