In 1991, Ms. Levy co-founded the Coalition for Quality Children's Media, dedicated to promoting and nurturing quality children's media as a vehicle for social change. The KIDS FIRST! Film Critics initiative began in 2011, engaging tween and teens (ages 9 to 20) as entertainment reporters. These kids watch and review the latest films & digital media rated PG-13 younger, interview talent and attend special event. Their reviews are written and videotaped. The KIDS FIRST! YouTube Channel features more than 4000 reviews and interviews. Their reviews reach more than 7 million people monthly through the KIDS FIRST! website, social media, YouTube Channel and podcast and are republished on Press 4 Kids, Kidsville News, Voice America’s Press Pass, GRAND Magazine, Kidzworld.com, SoCal City Kids and 50+ online and print publications. KIDS FIRST! has reporters in 20 major US cities, plus London and Sao Paolo. Levy co-authored The New York Times / KIDS FIRST Guide to The Best Children's Videos and A Parent's Guide to the Best Children's Videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs.
