The Houston Chronicle is a prominent daily newspaper and the largest in Texas, established in 1901 by Marcellus E. Foster. It has served as Houston's primary newspaper of record and has a rich history, including the introduction of a Sunday edition with color comics in 1905. It is known for its investigative journalism, opinion sections, and lifestyle features, including the "Bayou City History" project that documents significant milestones in Houston's history. The newspaper also maintains a vast archive of over a century of content, supporting research and education.
