Raquel Reichard is an award-winning journalist, editor and producer with an editorial objective to engage, educate and empower. With nearly 10 years of journalism experience, she has centered her reporting on body politics, Latinx culture, wellness and social struggles. A leading voice in Latinx media, she has interviewed local change-makers and global superstars, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dolores Huerta, Rita Moreno, America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, Bad Bunny and Cardi B, to name a few. Currently the Deputy Director of Refinery29 Somos, Raquel has also been an editor at Latina magazine, Remezcla, mitú and Mic. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Bustle, MTV, HISTORY.com, Entrepreneur, Well+Good, Bon Appétit, Fader, Vibe and more. Raquel has a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she studied Latinx news media. ​
