Biography
My path is unique. I started out as a reporter, then turned to social worker, and now I do a combination of both. This just means I can provide you with more expertise. I turn mediocre writing into a compelling narratives. I write engaging pieces. I deliver exciting newsletters. I create podcast scripts. You say the topic is too complicated? I take on the challenge. I dissect convoluted subjects into easy-to-read blogs. Furthermore, my social work experience helps enrich those social justice stories you need or those grants to pull in money to keep your non-profit or agency thriving. You need written testimonies from immigrants or victims for court? Come to me. I write those testimonies that will win over the court. There is no writing I cannot handle. Even science stories about the latest technological advancements is no challenge for me. I enjoy writing about the metaverse. Social media is another skill. For more than three years, I managed social media accounts. I can draw in community members to participate in online conversations and increase visitor traffic. I became a reporter after graduating (2004) and covered a variety of topics, from education to city government. In 2006, I delved into community reporting as a mobile journalist in California. With a camera and cell phone in hand, I recorded the stories of the Cathedral City residents. Later, as an educational reporter for Cathedral City, I visited classrooms, talked to teachers, questioned school administrators for my articles. There is nothing like the rush of writing on deadline, knowing your story will be in the paper the following day. In February 2010, I took a hiatus and returned to school. In 2012 I became a social worker, working for multiple nonprofits. I discovered my experiences strengthened my writing. I also became a passionate social advocate who could write persuasive essays on a variety of social issues. I can use my writing to give more voice to marginalized populations. In addition, I learn quickly. I always welcome additional training. Sidenote: Ask me how I met Michael Jordan, and why he is my role model.
