Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita said just before noon they got multiple calls about a crash just north of Route 44 on Route 24 northbound. When crews got there, they found a heavily-damaged SUV in the woods next to the highway. It's believed the vehicle rolled over a few times, LaCivita said, and its engine compartment caught fire.
