In this role, she oversaw the creation and delivery of consultative, actionable and differentiated insights for automakers and advertising agency clients. She created and developed the non-profit institution’s transportation studies initiative. She spearheaded a research project aimed at analyzing the Saudi Arabian light-vehicle market to evaluate potential methodologies for applying fuel economy standards while minimizing market disruption. She also led a market-sizing project estimating adoption rates of alternative-fuel vehicles in the U.S. market, advising regulators, academics, and manufacturers on the topic. Previously, Lindland spent more than 12 years at IHS Automotive as director of research and formerly, as a director of industry research and senior analyst. As a veteran industry analyst, Lindland is highly respected in the automotive industry and frequently interviewed by national media outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, National Public Radio, WIRED, and CBS News, among others. • A Porsche, A 5,000-mile Rally, And A New Year. Masha'Allah!

By Rebecca Lindland| rebeccadrives.com@ Amy Lerner and her 1982 Porsche 911Any new year represents a beginning, and after a challenging 2020, most everyone is looking for respite from the turmoil with muted, local celebrations. And then there’s Amy Lerner, Sara Bossaert, and my friend Sue Mead, who are instead embracing controlled chaos in the form of competing in the 2021 Dakar Rally in an iconic 1982 Porsche 911, racing through my old stomping grounds of Saudi Arabia. There is more to unpack in that sentence than at first glance.

  • 2021 Subaru Crosstrek: the Perfect Playmate

By Rebecca Lindland| A Girl's Guide to Cars Verified 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Limited.📸 Rebecca LindlandAnd now, there’s even more to love. Climbing into the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Limited, the doors close with an appealing “thunk.” I notice the handsome, modern interior with body-colored accents on the steering wheel. There’s easy access to a pair of USBs in the front and two more tucked into the center console. I dial-set the automatic climate control, skipping the heated seats despite the brisk, late summer air.
