Biography

With a passion for technology, Rich started his own site in 2013 and ran it independently for three years. In 2016, he moved on to Neowin as Senior Editor for North America, leading a news and reviews team of dozens of journalists. In 2021, he moved onto XDA with a mission to take an Android-focused site and expand its coverage into PCs. It was so successful that XDA dropped its mobile coverage, going all-in on computing in late 2023, where Rich now serves as Editor-in-Chief.

Speaking with SVP and Division President of Gaming Solutions at HP Josephine Tan, it turned out that the answer is simple: Windows is bad. Well, at least it's bad on a small screen. In fact, it's a pretty widely known fact.

But while digging through press releases, I realized that the devices themselves are the least important part of the show. In attending the keynote (travel and accommodations sponsored by HP) and speaking to various HP reps, I realized that they really don't talk too much about the devices themselves.
