Capt. Richard Simms is a "semi-retired" fishing guide and outdoor journalist. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., Capt. Simms was a game warden for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency before becoming a photographer and PR guy for TWRA until he decided to return to his Chattanooga roots, leading to a new career as a broadcast journalist and freelance outdoor writer.
