Officers found a man with "obvious trauma" when responding to a check welfare call, according to a KXAN report. According to the Austin Police Department, responders performed life-saving measures but could not revive him. He was declared dead at approximately 4:55 a.m., according to the report. This is Austin's 14th homicide of the year.
