American Muslim Today

American Muslim Today (AMT) is a dynamic and inclusive forum which celebrates the diversity and immense contribution of Muslims in the West. AMT will also inform and empower new generations of Muslim voices and be a defining force in inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. At AMT, we are governed by principles of inclusivity and providing a voice for Muslims from all denominations, race and ethnicity. We are also committed to investing in Muslim news journalists and supporting emerging voices, especially women and young Muslims. Equally, we believe it's important to elevate the work of established Muslim writers and opinion-makers, who are still too often side-lined by mainstream platforms. As a start-up registered charity, we are committed to making AMT about public service and achieving our primary goal, which is to transform the representation of Muslims in the media for generations to come. AMT covers a vast array of subject areas which play to the recognized strengths of the Muslim community - our sections include Health, Law, Politics, Education, Business, Faith and Culture, among many others. By showcasing the collective talent and skills of our contributors we hope to propel credible community leaders and representatives onto the national stage - effectively acting as a potent counter to the media's prevailing negative Muslim stereotypes.
