Golfdom

Golfdom is a prominent publication in the golf course management industry, founded in 1927 by brothers Herb and Joe Graffis. Initially serving as a digest-sized resource for greenkeepers and club professionals, it became the first business journal in the golf sector. After a brief hiatus, Golfdom was revived in 1999 to provide a blend of technical insights and industry news. The magazine focuses on agronomy, turfgrass science, and career guidance for superintendents, featuring technical articles, industry trends, and interviews with notable figures in golf. It also offers a digital archive in partnership with Michigan State University Libraries, providing access to issues from its inception to the present. Golfdom publishes expert columns on various topics, including pest management and sustainable practices, catering primarily to golf course superintendents, agronomists, and turfgrass managers, while also engaging course owners and golf professionals. With a readership of over 30,000, Golfdom is recognized for its influence in modernizing industry practices and has received accolades for its editorial quality.
