Barrett points to a YouTube video by a “Messianic Jewish Pastor” that claims a statue of St. Peter in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was struck by lightning and only the keys and halo were damaged. This, despite nearby lightning rods. The strike supposedly occurred on the Pope Francis’ birthday. Further, this strike is linked to the Vatican’s declaration allowing priests to bless same-sex unions.
