By Robert Brian Taylor Verified| Collider Verified Before we do anything else, we need to talk about Nicolas Cage's voice in the new Western Gunslingers. Playing a reformed outlaw who won't pick up a gun but carries a Bible around everywhere, Cage alters his speaking voice so that it's incredibly (and hilariously) low and raspy — like if Batman caught laryngitis. The in-movie reason for this is left a bit vague; he's also coughing at one point, so maybe it's a sign of lingering illness or injury.
By Robert Brian Taylor Verified| Yahoo Verified As a regular user of the M25, I should be relieved. As a snooker fan, I should be thrilled. As an art lover (of sorts) I ought to celebrate. In fact, I should be kneeling before Just Stop Oil and giving profuse thanks for their announcement that, having achieved their objective of changing government policy, they will now desist from “direct action”. But I feel none of that. Instead, I am livid as hell. Not just at Just Stop Oil, which goes without saying, but at our lily-livered Government.
By Robert Brian Taylor Verified| Collider Verified Old-guy hitman movies have been on a roll lately with Liam Neeson's In the Land of Saints and Sinners and Ian McShane's American Star (both released last year) proving to be strong recent entries in the genre. It's too bad then that Christoph Waltz's new addition to the canon, which is quite literally titled Old Guy, can't keep the good times going.
