This was the first of three steps in determining their chances to play as true freshman. The second step will be summer workouts and thew final step preseason practice. Their chances could be determined by the depth at the positions they play or in some cases the early enrollee will have played well enough so that they can't be denied playing time.

VIPFollowing the 2024 season Coach Brent Key and his staff added 16 transfers to the roster. Spring practices and the spring game were our first chance to watch them play and they showed varying degrees of success. The transfer group included eight defensive players, seven offensive players and a special team's player. One of those 16, tight end Harry Lodge, has already gone back into the portal now that spring practice is completed.
