Weather officials say it’s due to a combination of warm temperatures and gusty, southerly winds. “Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential sources of ignition, such as machinery, cigarettes or matches,” according to the National Weather Service.

Akron police say it was around 8 a.m. when a school resource officer responded to a fight involving two students in the girls’ restroom. “As the altercation escalated, a teacher entered to intervene,” according to a press release issued by the Akron Police Department on Friday morning.
