By Ryan Pugh Verified| The Clarion News Verified KNOX -- Some members of the Keystone School Board wanted to send a message about the Riverview Intermediate Unit’s 2025 budget and that message was heard loud and clear at the boar’s regular meeting March 17. The board declined to approve the 2025-26 Riverview Intermediate Unit budget by a vote of 4-3. Board President John Slagle, Jason Say, Abigail Simcheck and the board’s Riverview Intermediate Unit representative Ken Swartfager voted against the measure.

The board voted to approve a youth wrestling program use of the district’s fitness center as a wrestling room by a 5-2 margin. Board members Jason Say and Abigail Simcheck voted against the measure. Both Stacey Thompson and Randall Weaver were absent from the meeting.
