  • Backseat passenger dies in Aynor SC area crash

    By S.T. Cardinal Verified| The Horry Independent Verified A 21-year-old died after suffering injuries in a car crash near Aynor, the Horry County Coroner’s Office reports. Damion Parker was a backseat passenger in a vehicle which crashed near the intersection of Nichols Highway and Barnhill Road in a rural area near Aynor, said Horry County chief deputy coroner Tamara Willard. The crash happened Saturday, April 5, around 11:05 p.m. Parker was transported to the hospital where he died Monday, April 7, of injuries sustained in the crash.
