Biography

Sachelle Saunders joined the News 6 Team in January 2016 as a reporter and fill-in anchor. The Rockford, IL native decided to ditch the cold weather of the Midwest in favor of the warm and sunny skies of Central Florida. Sachelle started her career in her hometown of Rockford working for WTVO, FOX 39, as a multimedia journalist, where she soon moved into the role of weekend anchor. She then helped launch the FOX 39 Morning News show, as the main anchor, and was the first local African-American anchor in Rockford.

All you have to do is make sure the bar you're in is part of the program, and if you feel you or a friend is too drunk to get behind the wheel, an employee will help them get a free ride home. The Tavern League said even non-participating bars will still help with a ride, either an Uber or Lyft. The goal of SafeRide is to eliminate drunk driving on Wisconsin's roadways
