(WRIC) — Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Police are ramping up traffic enforcement in one of Richmond’s most congested corridors in response to growing community concerns over safety. The department has launched a major traffic safety initiative along Belvidere Street — a five-block stretch running from West Broad Street to Canal Street that cuts through the heart of Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus. The initiative began March 7 and will continue through May 2.
