Sara Elizabeth Jordan-Heintz is a writer, editor and 20th century historian. She has experience in journalism, including writing hundreds of articles for newspapers and magazines, beginning in her early teens. As seen in Gannett and Indianola Independent Advocate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and history; focus: American society, politics and everyday life; honors commendation from the University of Iowa and an Associate of Arts from Des Moines Area Community College. She wrote articles about his plight, that were picked up by news outlets across the country, leading to an anonymous donor to contact her, offering to pay for a headstone. She was also involved in designing the headstone (2016).
