Sara Sorcher is the White House editor at USA Today. She joined the Washington bureau in April 2017 and runs a team of five reporters covering the Trump administration. Previously, she was deputy editor of Passcode, a section of The Christian Science Monitor covering digital security and privacy. Before that, she was National Journal's national security correspondent, winning a National Press Club award in 2014 for her defense reporting. Sorcher started her career as a freelance "backpack journalist" in Israel. Her print and video packages were featured with major outlets including ABC News, The New York Times, TIME, CNN and GlobalPost. Sorcher graduated magna cum laude in Middle Eastern Studies from Tufts University and speaks Hebrew and Arabic.
