Biography

A freelance writer for over 9 years, I have a wide range of experience in producing and editing content for a variety of publications, mostly covering film. I started by writing for my own blog, and I have since contributed to Looper, What to Watch, Little White Lies, Hero Collector, JumpCut Online, VultureHound, WhatCulture, Zavvi, Cineworld, Filmoria, and The Daily Jaws. Whilst I mostly produce written content, I am also a podcast host, previously co-hosting a series for JumpCast on Disney Classics and currently co-hosting Let's Jaws for a Minute and Let's Party with Marty. I am also an editor, working for Static Media. I predominantly edit for Mashed, but also have editing experience with Looper and many other sites owned by Static.

Whether you remember the decade well and want to look back on the golden years, or you were born in the 2000s and you want to see what all the fuss was about, there are plenty of great 2000s movies to scratch that itch. If you're looking for a snapshot of the movies that typified that decade, you needn't look further than the middle-point, 2005.

  • 12 Movies Like 500 Days Of Summer You'll Love

By Sarah Buddery| Looper Verified We're all familiar with the rom-com formula by now: two people meet, they fall in love, and they invariably live happily ever after. That's what countless stories have shown us, but 2009's "(500) Days of Summer" turns this idea on its head to present an alternative notion. Through the up-and-down relationship between Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Summer (Zooey Deschanel), we explore the following: What if the dream girl isn't actually the dream girl after all?
