(WTAP) - Scattered showers are spread across Ohio and West Virginia as a low pressure continues to move past to our north. The cold front associated with the system slowed down which is why temperatures managed to climb to the mid 80s today, though it is working its way through the area this evening. Overnight the showers will taper off behind the cold front as temperatures fall to the mid 60s.

These storms are ahead of a cold front that will move through bringing cooler air into the valley. There is a marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather with some storms possibly producing damaging winds with gusts around 60 mph and hail possibly around an inch in diameter. The initial front is expected to move through overnight which will allow temperatures to fall to about 65 degrees.
