By Sarah Stirling| Medium@ Sarah Stirling, Parent Coach·Follow2 min read·--What better time than after a marathon of a day, right before bed to talk about DEATH ☠️Last night when I was putting my 4-year-old to bed after a long, nap-less day, she asked me if my grandma and grandpa were dead. I told her yes. She said she was sad she didn’t get to meet them. She wanted to hear their voices. That I must miss them. That she was very sorry. I was sorry too. They would have loved her.
By Sarah Stirling| Medium@ For a while there…I used to dread the weekends. Why did I dread the weekends? Because they were hard. Weekends were 48+ hours of feeling emotionally triggered by my toddler and baby’s seemingly constant crying. Of walking on eggshells trying not to set off my highly sensitive toddler. Of drowning as the preferred parent to both children, while my husband stood right next to me. Weekends used to be a time to recharge. A time to do what I wanted.
