Paul Murdaugh, the youngest son, was driving the boat when it allegedly crashed into a bridge, after he had been drinking. Gregory Parker owns a chain of convenience stores in Georgia and South Carolina.

This weekend, The DA recommends a Morgantown Mardi Gras celebration, a horse show and a renaissance fair-themed event. Levels Arcade will debut its newest drink Renaissance-Fair style at its “Mead Me at the Arcade” event at 6 p.m. Friday. The arcade is partnered with Superstition Meadery to import kegs of mead from Prescott, Arizona, for Morgantown residents to enjoy, according to the event’s website.
