They were fighting for a chance to play the undefeated Sharon Tigers in the Class 3A championship, and the winner would also punch their ticket to the state playoffs. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as the Huskies took one big inning and turned it into a 9-6 win, and Corry bowed out of the playoffs.

The game itself was even hotter as the Corry Beavers took on the Northwestern Wildcats in the PIAA 3A softball quarterfinals. In the major thrill ride, Corry was able to pull it off in the eighth inning of play with a 7-6 victory to move on to the semifinals in the District 10 playoffs.
