(KATV) — The Independence County Sheriff's Office has called upon the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division for assistance in a double homicide that occurred on April 15, 2025. ICSO was called to respond to the 1600 block of Old Camp Road in Batesville, to conduct a welfare check. According to a release, officers found Teresa Owens Nelson, 53, and Patricia Anderson, 71, deceased. They were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for further examinations.
