  • Delays on M2 between Sittingbourne and Faversham following multi-vehicle crash

The incident was reported between junction 5 for Sittingbourne and junction 6 for Faversham shortly before 12.30am. National Highways says its traffic officers are at the scene where there is five miles of congestion. A lane has re-opened coastbound but there is currently an extra hour to normal travel times. According to traffic monitoring tool Inrix the collision involved two cars and a van.

Thameslink services were unable to run for nearly two hours between Swanley and Sevenoaks due a fault identified on the line near Otford shortly after 10am. It meant trains which usually run between London Blackfriars and Kent were diverted between Bickley, near Bromley and Sevenoaks via Orpington in both directions.
