The fire began just after 4:00 near the high-tension power lines that run alongside I-495 just north of the Christina River Bridge. 12th Street is now blocked in the area of I-495, while I-495 is open, but has restrictions and reduced visability due to the smoke and ash drifting across the highway due to the west winds.
