By Sean McBride| Idaho Press Verified Angel Studios has a new movie hitting theaters right in time for the run-up to Easter. They’re not alone this year, as there are nine hours of “The Chosen” also playing at the multiplex, but if you’re looking for something a little less taxing, “The King of Kings” is a nice little movie aimed specifically at families with young children. I think that “young children” is the critical descriptor here, as this movie is aimed squarely at the elementary school set.
By Sean McBride| Idaho Press Verified I don’t know much about Minecraft, other than it’s a world-building survival game where everything is built out of blocks. That lack of familiarity, coupled with some genuinely bad marketing, led me to believe that “A Minecraft Movie” was destined to be one of the worst films of the year. But then a 10-year-old boy plopped down next to me at the critics screening last week. He and his sister were absolutely buzzing with excitement over what they were about to see.
