On Saturday, April 19 ,an annual Easter Egg Hunt was held at the museum, which aims to celebrate the early days of Alberta farming. "A few years ago we decided we wanted to do more activities around the wintertime, when the general exhibits are closed," explained Ian Warwick, executive director of Sunnybrook Farm Museum. "This was a volunteer-driven initiative.

  • Central Alberta lacrosse players to compete at 2025 Canada Summer Games

    By Sean McIntosh Verified| Red Deer Advocate Verified Lacrosse players from Central Alberta will represent Alberta at the 2025 Canada Summer Games. Innisfail's Luc Catudal, Red Deer's Kian Siemens and Blackfalds' Tyrell Strauss, who all play for the U17A Red Deer Chiefs, will head to St. John's, Nfld. for the national competition from Aug. 8-25. Catudal and Siemens are officially part of the Team Alberta roster, and Strauss was selected as an alternate goalie who will train with the team in preparation for the Games.
