  • Path is set to kill off leasehold and replace it with commonhold

Commonhold is going to become the default tenure for flats and creating new leasehold ones will be banned. This time we actually think that this will happen.

Leasehold Knowledge Partnership seeks to reform residential leasehold tenure, improve practices and provide a fair editorial service on the sector. The deputy chairs are Marie Rimmer (Lab), Baroness Gardner (Con) and, with special responsibility for the cladding and building safety crisis, Sir Bob Neill (Con) and Stephen McPartland (Con).
