  • Montgomery woman faces capital murder charge in death of baby girl

    By Shannon Heupel Verified| Montgomery Advertiser Verified A woman is in custody following the death of an infant girl in Montgomery. At 6:20 p.m. on April 5, Montgomery police found 4-month-old Zuri McGhee unresponsive while officers responded to the 3300 block of Fountain Lane. The infant was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. According to the Montgomery Police Department, the girl's death is being investigated as a homicide. Brenika McGhee, 26, has been charged with capital murder.
