Nowhere else to go. A few moments earlier, I had walked my youngest kiddo into their classroom. These days, on a good day, they can manage school for 3 hours. Luckily, their school has been accommodating of their pain and the attendant exhaustion. Schools before this didn't get it. But 3 hours?

Yesterday, in the Wild at Heart and Weird on Top Story-Writing Jam Sessions, I gave this prompt to the thoughtful women who attended. It prompted some deeply heartfelt writing. (Those Saturday writing sessions are always free, open to any women in midlife with divergent, creative minds.) The prompt: write a letter to a person you admire for their strength.
