Biography

A long-time food and restaurant public relations executive turned magazine editor and freelance writer, Shelby has a passion for all things food. She cut her teeth in the industry working with chefs like Wolfgang Puck, Michael Mina, and Brian Malarkey. From discovering the best dives in her hometown of Phoenix to dining at the swankiest spots on her frequent visits to L.A. and Vegas and even exploring new recipes in her own kitchen, Shelby might be at her most content when her taste buds are doing a happy dance. Shelby is a former food and restaurant public relations executive, who cut her teeth in the industry through the development of public relations campaigns for restaurants by Wolfgang Puck, Michael Mina, and Brian Malarkey. She managed the grand opening media relations for more than a dozen restaurants and worked in an ongoing capacity for nearly 20 more. Passionate about telling the stories of the chefs and restaurants she worked with, Shelby loved helping people fall in love with food the way that she had for nearly two decades. These days, she's a magazine editor and freelance writer who has interviewed notable figures in business, sports, and environmentalism. She currently serves as the managing editor for Green Living magazine, an eco-conscious guide for sustainable living.
