Biography
I am a journalist with four years of experience covering Hollywood and Entertainment with a financial lens. At Forbes, I provided original reporting and analysis on the impacts of the pandemic on Hollywood and streaming. At Newsweek, I covered politics, culture, sports, and Breaking News. At The Hollywood Reporter, I covered pop-culture with a focus on race. I am currently a film critic on Rotten Tomatoes. I strongly believe in charitable and social work. I took part in the Black Panther Challenge, led a children's hospital toy drive in New York City, and did a charity t-shirt drive for UNICEF. I am currently a part-time student Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. My road to journalism began when I founded and led ComicBook Debate, a website and YouTube channel with over 150 million views in three short years. The site gives young journalists of color a platform to publish their work while The Farooqi Bros Podcast provides strong commentary and interviews for a global audience.
