The 13th annual Polar Plunge took place Sunday afternoon at Camp Capella in Holden. Participant Beth Beaulieu said, "I can't think of a better cause to do something like this and to check the bucket list and do a good thing at the same time."The Polar Plunge is a chance to raise money so kids and adults with disabilities can go to Camp Capella.
By Shonna Narine Verified| WVII/WFVX-TV (Bangor, ME) Verified WAYNE -The Maine Warden Service is investigating a fatal snowmobile crash that took place Saturday evening in Wayne. Officials said it happened on the west shore of Wilson Pond. They said 56-year-old Martha Carroll of Massachusetts died when she crashed into trees at a high rate of speed. Wardens said Carroll was operating her boyfriends snowmobile and was wearing a helmet. Initial investigation indicates inexperience, speed and alcohol all appear to be factors in the crash.
