Biography
I'm a Christian, a writer, a reporter, a voracious reader and a foodie. Sometimes in that order. I was born to Korean missionaries who have a heart for the Chinese people. Spent 10 years in Singapore, seven in suburban Washington D.C., and five in Los Angeles, where I graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in print & digital journalism and East Asian language & cultures. I interned at the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and World Magazine, for whom I now work full-time as a features reporter, covering any topics from serious to whimsical. I work in sweats, boots, or suspenders.
