According to the Pittsburg Police Department, a passerby saw the person down on the ground through a chain link fence as they passed the property at 107 E. 1st Street. Officers responded to the area around 7:47 a.m. Wednesday morning along with the Pittsburg Fire Department and Crawford County EMS.

(KOAM) - Authorities believe human remains found near Columbus, Kansas are those of a 19-year-old reported missing in 2023. According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, they took a call about human remains found in a wooded area just west of Columbus. Deputies along with Columbus Police Officers responded to the area and found skeletal remains. Authorities say there were also personal items in the area that identified the person as Jaden Santini.
