Nashville

Biography

Dubbed the "Doyenne of Music Row," in recognition of my unmatched half-century+ career documenting Nashville's country-music industry, I am an internationally-known hyphenate; i.e., an author, influencer, media pundit, political reporter, country-music historian, academician, music industry and popular culture analyst, celebrity journalist, ethnomusicologist, columnist, broadcast journalist, feature writer, media personality, tastemaker, public speaker, pundit, arts critic, technical writer, axiologist, lifestyle and relationship expert, entertainment entrepreneur, community activist, and polymath. Instrumental in the establishment of Radio Free Nashville, I have covered the Nashville entertainment scene as a Nashville-based stringer for Newsweek and as a domestic stringer (with Secret Service clearance) for the NASCAR and MJI Radio Networks as well as the ABC Radio Network and its affiliates. At the invitation of Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee Diana Pierce, I collaborated with her on a 2019 PBS documentary Pierce produced on the history of Minnesota's country-music scene titled Country Music: Made in Minnesota ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12538998/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast ). Beginning in 2021, for three consecutive years, I became a Country Radio Hall of Fame nominee. In addition to my listing in the prestigious Internet Movie DataBase ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4239537/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cr2 ) I am among the "Notable People" recognized by the St. Louis Park Historical Society and The World Library Foundation.
