My passion is writing articles that enhance others’ lives. As a part-time position, in addition to my daytime job as a teacher, I find my printed words important in the preservation of American history. I’ve worked as a stringer and correspondent. I‘ve captured photos to enhance many of my stories. I’ve seen the downward spiral of the newspaper industry in the United States. I believe there is still a market for local, small town news, especially in rural areas with limited to no wireless services. Open to traveling within reasonable distances for stories. Long term goal is to write for the Toronto Star in Toronto, Canada as Hemingway did.

On Sunday, guests walked or rode the bus to each hotel where they enjoyed activities in Santa’s Workshop, at Whoville with the Grinch and in Candy Land.
By Stacy Hazelton| Scioto Valley Guardian@ KINGSTON, Ohio — How many kids does one momma goat have in one birthing? “Usually two or three, but we’ve never seen 6!” exclaimed Greg Adkins, owner and operator of Twin Springs Farm. Assisted by six human kids from his family and community, Adkins watched his goat give birth to sextuplets who were all males and healthy. “We usually get a mix of males and females, so having all males is different,” said Adkins. His family-run farm breeds and sells goats to be shown at county and state fairs.

Skaters of all ages and abilities enjoy the freedom of sailing across the ice, especially when the unusual temperature of 50 degrees hangs around. Several local businesses and community groups sponsor each week’s events at the rink.
