As far as anyone can remember, this place has always been a bar or restaurant, but it has changed hands a few times over the decades. In the 1970s and 1980s, it was called the Bottom of the Fox and was closely associated with its popular owner, Eddie Joubert. Joubert was the victim of an unsolved homicide that still haunts people in town who remember it.
