I'm a freelance writer and journalist who writes about food, boxing, MMA, travel, women's issues and any other topic that makes me say, Wow! or Huh? or Yum! I've done stories for national magazines (MTV Hive and Men's Health) as well as regional publications (The Desert Leaf, Central Penn Business Journal, Fly Magazine and Fine Living Lancaster). I work as a sports correspondent for Lancaster Newspapers, a print daily in central Pennsylvania (circulation 70,000 weekday/90,000 Sunday.) I was nominated for a PAPME in 2014. I'm proud to be a member of Boxing Writers Association of America and won an "honorable mention, feature under 1,500 words" in 2025. In total, I have more than 15 years of writing, copy writing and editing experience-- including news, travel, food and culture feature length articles as well as short fiction. I've also done scripts for local commercials and online videos. In my previous career in the non-profit world I created newsletters, brochures, print and electronic marketing copy, social media and fundraising materials.
