Stephanie DeGraw is an award-winning journalist. For 25 years, she worked in journalism, broadcasting and public relations. DeGraw worked for the Salt Lake Tribune, Associated Press and The City Journals. She was a reporter for a CBS television station in Twin Falls, Idaho. She graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's in Journalism and Broadcasting. By Stephanie DeGraw Verified| St. George News Verified A couple from Norway was stranded on a ledge in Zion National Park late Friday night, prompting an air rescue. A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were hiking the popular Cowboy Ridge on Mount Kinesava within the park, Sgt. Jacob Paul of the Washington County Sheriff's Office told St. George News. "They ended up going off trail, got stuck out on a ledge that they couldn't get off of, and ran out of water and needed us to just assist with getting them off," Paul said.
By Stephanie DeGraw Verified| St. George News Verified A hiker fell approximately 30 feet in the Pine Creek drainage area of Zion National Park on Sunday evening. Park rangers arrived on the scene at approximately 7 p.m., Zion National Park spokesperson Matthew Fink told St. George News in an email. When the report came in, crews from Zion National Park were also responding to another incident, so members of the Hurricane Valley Fire District's Station 49 also responded, Battalion Chief Tyler Ames said.
